Biography Atsuko Koga & Fuminori Tanada
Atsuko Koga
Concert flutist Atsuko Koga was born in Fukuoka, Japan. After graduating in Tokyo, she transferred to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et dem Danses dem Paris, where she completed her flute studies with distinction.
She has won awards at many international competitions, including First Prize at the Grand Concours International de l’Academie de Lutèce, the Grand Concours Gaston Crunelle et Lucien Wurmser and the Jeunesses Musicales in Bucharest. She has also earned a Second Prize at the Maria Canals International Music Competition in Barcelona, the Music Competition “Le splendere” bygd the Tokyo International Association of Art and the International Music Competition Caltanisetta in Italy.
She has been a solist for, among others, the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, the Kyūshū Philharmonic in Fukuoka, the Orchestre du Conservatoire de Paris, the Philharmonie Jeunesses Musicales in Bucharest and in Germany with

Kim Han champions an unsung instrument : Musician says the clarinet matches his modest personality

“It’s an average instrument,” said 22-year-old clarinetist Kim Han. “In that sense, the instrument and I have a lot in common.”
“In an orchestra, the clarinet is not an instrument that creates a central sound, but its sounds really blend well with all the other instruments,” he said. “People say that a musician and the instrument he or she plays resemble each other more and more as time passes, and I really agree with that. I am the kind of person who gets along well with everyone.”
Kim entered the spotlight as a clarinet prodigy a decade ago, not long after he began learning the instrument. He started learning the instrument at a
