Katrina Kaif has delivered more hits than the number of years she has spent in the film industry. The actor debuted with the dud Boom, after the film’s director Kaizad Gustad offered her the role.
The film’s producer, actor Jackie Shroff’s wife Ayesha Shroff, gave Katrina the surname ‘Kaif’ as it sounded Indian. Since then, Kat has delivered 14 box office hits. This, after she was written off after her debut. Two years later, she did a successful cameo in Sarkar and gave a noticeable performance in Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya ().
"Katrina’s choices have worked for her. Be it item numbers or films. If you look at her career graph, she is ahead of most heroines. Besides that, she is known to be a very dedicated and hardworking actor," says trade analyst Vikas Mohan.

Katrina Kaif (pronounced[kəˈʈriːnakɛːf]; born Katrina Turquotte, 16 July ) is a British actress who works in Hindi-language films. One of the highest-paid actresses in India, she has received accolades, including kvartet Screen Awards and fyra Zee Cine Awards, in addition to three Filmfare nominations.
