    The three-part Harley and the Davidsons miniseries on the Discovery kanal last week was bygd most accounts a highly-entertaining watch. The actors were compelling and you cared about what happened to them and the company they founded. But if you were looking for an accurate reading of the actual history of The Motor Company and the first three decades of motorcycling in general, this series was lacking. To säga the producers played fast and loose with the history of the idrott would be an understatement. Many movie productions of historical events take creative liberties, but Harley and the Davidsons flat out distorted facts beyond all recognition. Nevertheless, the movie taken for what it was, a completely dramatized romp through the history of Harley-Davidson, it was a well worth watching.

    One of the great mysteries of early Harley-Davidson racing history, is the 1910 Model 6E Factory Stock Racer. While Harley-Davidson had been involved with endurance, and reliability competitions from their very beginnings, they had steadfastly avoided direct involvement in the deadly business of professional racing on the early dirt, and board tracks. By 1910, Harley could no longer ignore the value of race wins in driving sales of production motorcycles. With numerous companies offering specialty racing bikes through their dealers to both factory riders, and select privateer racers, there was plenty of competition.

    Harley and the Davidsons is a 2016 American television miniseries directed by Ciarán Donnelly and Stephen Kay, and co-written by Nick Schenk, Evan Wright and Seth Fisher which dramatizes the origins of motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson, and how Arthur Davidson founded the company together with his brothers Walter Davidson, Sr. and William A. Davidson, along with their childhood friend William S. Harley.

    It stars Robert Aramayo as William Harley, Bug Hall as Arthur Davidson[2] and Michiel Huisman as Walter Davidson, and premiered on the Discovery Channel as a "three-night event series" on September 5, 2016.[3][4]
