Ron Arad (B. ) is among the most respected and influential designers working today, he is celebrated for his fluid, curvaceous style, crafting deceptively simple, highly skilled pieces from materials such as aluminium, bronze and steel. Defying easy categorisation, Arad's work consistently reinvents the everyday object, transforming it into something daring, witty and provocative. Bookshelves wind their way up walls, tables curve up corners, chairs unravel like ribbon, all retaining their essential function while questioning their perceived limitations. These playful but daring designs of everyday objects is also demonstrated in Ron's earrings which he based on his light 'Hot Ingo'. The polyamide spiral wrapped around a long rod has an ever-changing diameter. The biography of Ron Arad
Israeli designer and architect Ron Arad got his international breakthrough with the Rover Chair in , and has since become one of the best known furniture designers in the world.
Ron Arad studied art at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem from and thereafter moved to London to study at the Architectural Association School of Architecture. After having obtained his degree in , Arad worked at an architects office before he, in , founded his own design and production studio; One Off Ltd together with Caroline Thorman. During the same year he designed the Rover Chair, made of used car seats from ’s Rover cars combined with ’s scaffolding, which became Arad's international breakthrough.
Five years later the Well-Tempered Chair, made of folded stainless steel and wing nuts, for Vitra was released as a part of the first Vitra Edition, with objects to be launched and produced in limited quantities. In he desig

Ron Arad, RDI (Hebrew: רון ארד; born ()24 April )[1] is a British-Israeli industrial designer, artist, and architectural designer.[2][3]
Early life
[edit]Ron Arad was born in Tel Aviv, Israel, to a Jewish family.[citation needed] He studied at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem between and , and at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London from to [5] His brother is the violist and educator Atar Arad.
Career
[edit]Arad co-founded the design and production studio One Off in with Caroline Thorman. Ron Arad Associates architecture and design practice was formed in , and in Ron Arad Architects was established alongside Ron Arad Associates, with Caroline Thorman and Asa Bruno.[citation needed]
