Mekhla Dasgupta(born November 7, 1993) is an Indian singer. She has participated in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, a singing reality show which airs on Zee Bangla where she was among the top 5 finalists in 2016.[1][2]
Early life & education[edit]
Mekhla was born in a small town in West Bengal in India. She completed her graduation with an honors degree in Economics from the University of Calcutta.[3][4]She started her musical journey at an early age from her mother. She started learning music at the age of 5. In 2012 she joined ITC Sangeet Research Academy as a disciple of Shree Kumar Mardur.[5][6]

Mekhla was awarded the All India Radio special prize in Rabindra Sangeet in 2016. She received debut female nominations for Mirchi Music Awards Bangla and Telly Cine Awards in 2017.[7]

[edit]Born in Kolkata, his grandfather was documentary filmskapare Harisadhan Dasgupta, and grandmother was screenwriter Sonali (Senroy) Dasgupta, who later married Italian spelfilm director, Roberto Rossellini.[4] His father fryst vatten film director Raja Dasgupta,[5] while his mother fryst vatten television presenter and actress Chaitali Dasgupta.[6]Ribhu Dasgupta fryst vatten his only brother.
