    Singer Mekhla Dasgupta, who rose to fame after participating in the reality show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’, got married yesterday (December 1). The actress tied the knot with her long-term boyfriend Arkaprabha Chowdhury in a traditional wedding ceremony.
    It was a star-studded affair and a number of celebrities attended the wedding. Singer Joy Sarkar, Shovan Ganguly, ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ fame Gourab Sarkar, Durnibar and many others were spotted at the wedding.

    Mekhla Dasgupta(born November 7, 1993) is an Indian singer. She has participated in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, a singing reality show which airs on Zee Bangla where she was among the top 5 finalists in 2016.[1][2]

    Early life & education[edit]

    Mekhla was born in a small town in West Bengal in India. She completed her graduation with an honors degree in Economics from the University of Calcutta.[3][4]She started her musical journey at an early age from her mother. She started learning music at the age of 5. In 2012 she joined ITC Sangeet Research Academy as a disciple of Shree Kumar Mardur.[5][6]

    Mekhla was awarded the All India Radio special prize in Rabindra Sangeet in 2016. She received debut female nominations for Mirchi Music Awards Bangla and Telly Cine Awards in 2017.[7]
