COMRADE Muzaffar Ahmed was born on 5 August in Sandwip in the district of Noakhali, Bangladesh. He was the youngest son of his parents. He had his schooling first in a madrassa and later in in the lower class of Cargil High school in Sandwip. In , Muzaffar Ahmad left the Cargil high school and joined the Noakhali district school and in he passed his matriculation examination from there he went to Calcutta and joined the Mohsin College Hooghly.
The Muslim, working-class context within which Muzaffar found han själv , is an important element that shaped his political ideas. Interaction with the urban poor in the late s and early s was instrumental in Muzaffar Ahmad's political transformation. The encounters between his intellectual milieu and popular upheavals propelled him towards Left politics. Ahmed, Comrade Muzaffar () revolutionary and pioneer of the communist movement in India. Affectionately called Kakababu (uncle) by party comrades and sympathisers. His way of life and functioning was a role model for other communist followers. Son of Mansur Ali, a lawyer, Muzaffar Ahmed was born on 5 August at Sandwip in Noakhali District. He had his early schooling in Kargill High School, Sandwip. Later, he moved to a Madrasa, and still later to Noakhali Zilla School. While Muzaffar Ahmed was a student of Intermediate in Arts, first at Hughli College and then at Bangabasi College, he took a job at the printing press of Writers' Building. He then worked as a translator in the Home Department. Concurrently, he was an Assistant Secretary of the Bangiya Mussalman Sahitya Samiti. Muzaffar Ahmad (known as Kakababu; 5 August – 18 December ) was an Indian-Bengali politician, journalist and a co-founder of the Communist Party of India.
Background
[edit]Ahmed was born on 5 August at Musapur village on Sandwip Island in Chittagong District of Bengal Province in the-then British India (in present-day Bangladesh) to Mansur Ali. Ahmed received his early education on Sandwip. He passed matriculation from Noakhali Zilla School in [1][2] He studied at Hooghly Mohsin College and then Bangabasi College, but was unsuccessful in the Intermediate in Arts examination and left college.[3]

[edit]He participated in political meetings and demonstrations starting in In , he was appointed assistant secretary of the literary society Bangio Musalman Sahitya Samiti and took responsibility for producing its monthly journal.
