After graduating from New York University (NYU), he spent 14 years as a sales representative for various pharmaceutical companies, where he learned about the benefits of vitamins and supplements, which gave him the idea for Nature’s Plus. A pioneer in the natural supplements industry, Gerald Kessler was a chief architect of the Dietary Supplement and Health Education Act (DSHEA), which helped secure people’s rights to take dietary supplements by specifying regulations surrounding the manufacture and sale of dietary supplements, ultimately making it easier for safe supplements to be sold in the US.
“He was an activist in the best sense of the word. He cared about people, and he worked to make their lives better. He believed firmly in what he did, and he took his job of producing safe and effective supplements and products very seriously. Litigation is proceeding in an ongoing legal battle surrounding the $million estate of Gerald Kessler. Kessler Revocable Trust.
