Yasmin Mogahed

Yasmin Mogahed (born March 11, 1980) is an American educator and motivational speaker. She is a specialist in spirituality, psychology, and personal development.[2] Mogahed is the first female instructor at the AlMaghrib Institute.[3][4]
Education and career
[edit]Mogahed completed a BSc degree in psychology at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where she also earned an MS degree in journalism and mass communications.[5]
She is the first Muslim woman to become an instructor at AlMaghrib Institute.[6] Previously, she had been a writing instructor at Cardinal Stritch University.[5] She is internationally known for her motivational lectures.[5]

Dalia Mogahed is a scholar as well as an Egyptian activist. She is most commonly known for her positions as director of Research at the Institution for Social Policy and Understanding in Washington D.C. and was also appointed by former president Barack Obama to be an advisor of the White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships.
Mogahed was born in Cairo, Egypt in 1974 and immigrated to the United States when she was 4 years old where she became a naturalized citizen. She graduated with her undergraduate Bachelor’s degree at University of Wisconsin with a major in chemical engineering and then got her Master’s degree in business administration at the University of Pittsburgh.
